Our DriveCheck Programme

For those who wish for an independent review of their driving skills or as an optional preliminary to Skill for Life, the DriveCheck assessment fits the bill.

The assessment takes place at a mutually convenient time and place with a Senior Observer from our Group, in your own car.  After some brief formalities, a drive of 35 to 40 minutes and a debrief session, a written report is prepared which is designed to inform the candidate of any weaknesses in their performance as a driver.

This is purely a critical review of driver performance with some advice thrown in to allow the candidate to decide a suitable course of action.

Should the candidate discover their driving could benefit from some improving, as an incentive, for the thirty days following a DriveCheck, the IAM offer a refund of the DriveCheck fee to contribute towards a Skill for Life programme.  A nominal sum (presently £10) is retained to cover the cost of administration.
