IAM Driving Programmes
The IAM has several products which will set you on the road to improving your driving skills.
The Skill for Life is the IAM's most popular package and for a one off fee of £139 provides you will everything you need to pass your Advanced Driving Test and become a full member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
The package includes:
- The IAM book "How To Be An Advanced Driver"
- "Advanced Driving" the IAM's tri-annual Members magazine
- An initial assessment (carried out by your local IAM Group)
- All Test preparation work (undertaken by your local IAM Group)
- Entry into the Advanced Driving Test
- IAM Associate status, with an automatic upgrade to full Membership of the IAM (upon passing the Advanced Driving Test within 12 months)
- Access to the "Members" area of the national website (with details of Members' Events, Membership Services and Special Offers).
Purchase an IAM Skill for Life programme
For drivers who are not convinced or not yet ready to take the full Skill for Life programme, DriveCheck provides a short Driving Assessment for a fee of £35, presently discounted to £25 as an introductory offer.
This package includes:
- An assessment (carried out by your local IAM Group)
- A completed assessment feedback form
- Associate Membership of the IAM for 12 months
- A reduced fee, if you enrol on the Skill for Life programme within 30 days of taking your DriveCheck assessment.
